In later years of history, specifically during the German occupation, the plant was consumed to avoid starvation.
It is consumed – drunk as a decoction and because of the abundance of substances it contains, it was traditionally used as a panacea.
Nettle has strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant and antimicrobial action.
Indicatively, some of its actions are mentioned, such as the treatment of allergic symptoms, e.g. seasonal allergies, the recovery of iron levels (anemia), the significant reduction of blood sugar levels, the reduction of cholesterol, gout and joint pain, etc.
